What Our Customers Say
Frequently Asked Questions
Most domestic EICRs take approximately two to three hours. Larger properties or installations with a high number of circuits may take longer.
Any faults or safety concerns will be clearly recorded in your report and explained to you. If remedial work is needed, we can provide a separate quotation, but no repairs will be carried out without your approval.
There will be short interruptions to the electricity supply while circuits are safely isolated and tested. We’ll keep disruption to a minimum and let you know before switching anything off.
You don’t necessarily need to remain at the property, provided we have arranged safe access and can reach the consumer unit, sockets, switches and other areas that require inspection.
Yes. You’ll receive a complete Electrical Installation Condition Report showing the condition of the installation, the test results and any observations or recommendations.
For an owner-occupied home, an EICR is generally recommended at least every 10 years. Rented properties in England must normally be inspected at least every five years, or sooner if stated on the previous report.
